Chapter 1. General Rules

  1. This document contains the rules of the ADOFAI World Championship 2024$\mathsf{^{("AWC2024"\ or\ "AWC")}}$.
  2. AWC is an individual world-playing competition of A Dance of Fire and Ice$\mathsf{^{("ADOFAI")}}$, hosted by ADOFAI.gg.
  3. All scores are based on X-Accuracies.
  4. The competition aims to identify participants who can handle multiple types of high-difficulty levels with outstanding scores through pure and fair methods.
  5. By default, ranks are given in the order of the participants with the highest scores. If two or more participants have the same score and their ranks cannot be determined, the ranks will be determined based on the standards stated for each round.
  6. The competition consists of Registration, Qualifiers, Group Rounds, and Tournament.
  7. All announcements are done at the Discord server “ADOFAI.gg Event Server.”

Chapter 2. Competition Schedule

  1. If a schedule delay is inevitable it is announced immediately, and is informed to participants individually.
  2. If a participant cannot participate a round on a given date at all they must inform the AWC Team immediately.

Chapter 3. Participant Rules

  1. Participants are eliminated and banned from joining any competition that ADOFAI.gg hosts for 2 years in the case of the following. Sympathizers are also punished as above.
    1. Used a mod that is not allowed by the AWC Team.
    2. Committed fraud regarding a mod, such as modifying or counterfeiting a mod.
    3. Used an external program or tool that gives unfair advantages in gameplay.
    4. Participated to the competition with an alias differing from their main alias $\mathsf{^{(known\ as\ a\ "secondary\ account")}}$, or stole others’ aliases.
    5. Lent their alias to another user (so-called proxy participation).
    6. Leaked information kept confidential at the request of the AWC Team (includes friends, acquaintances, family, and eliminated participants).
    7. Did not attend the competition without a valid reason and interfered with the smooth progress of the competition.
    8. Benefited from rule loopholes, or interfered with normal progress of the competition by any other malicious intent.
  2. Participants are eliminated in the case of the following.
    1. Used a nickname that may cause discomfort to others according to social norms, insults someone, or may cause other social controversy.
    2. Lost contact and impossible to proceed with the competition.
  3. Competition managers cannot participate in the competition in any way. In the case of violation, the user is banned from joining any competition that ADOFAI.gg hosts for 2 years, permanently banned from managing the competition, and kicked from their manager position.
  4. You agree to have your gameplay scene/video and/or nickname and avatar displayed in live streams/videos/websites or similar by participating to the competition.

Chapter 4. Registration

  1. The “Registration” round is for applying for participation in AWC, and is done as follows.
    1. The AWC Team reveals two levels.
    2. The applicant plays any level.
    3. The applicant records a clear video of the level and submits it using the method given by the AWC Team.
    4. The AWC Team reviews the video, and accepts the application if the video meets the conditions. The applicant is hereby registered for the Qualifiers.
